Other Layouts

Over the years, the club has built a number of layouts - permanent layouts, exhibition layouts and modular layouts. The club will continue building layouts.

The layouts in this list are our more recent Exhibition layouts and our previous permanent layout.

There is also a link to our Archives which hold information on the layouts and activities of the club prior to 2000.

Click on the name below to see details of each layout.

Dunkirk, NY

The first of our new modular exhibition layouts. Currently under construction.

This layout was inspired by the YouTube channel "Wide World of Trains". Dunkirk is a town 35 miles south west of Buffalo on the shore of Lake Erie.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

A second modular exhibition layout, Sioux Valley, has had its modules built, but has been put on hold until Dunkirk is near completion.

There are two more layouts in the design phase.

As these layouts are built, they will be added to this list.

Gresham

Our very popular Australian based exhibition layout. Built 2022/23.

This layout is modelled on the hamlet of Gresham, on the NSW main western line between Bathurst and Blaney.

Tannochbrae

An exhibition layout built 2021.

A fictious town in the Scottish highlands. The layout was built to demonstrate how easy it is to have a beautiful layout using Tomix set track.

Widgeree

This was an exhibition layout built 2011, but has now been retired and converted into a permanent layout with additional trackage added.

The club's main layout built in our Peakhurst clubrooms. Unfortunately, the layout could not be transferred to the Rockdale clubrooms and had to be dismantled.
